So Pace just informed me that I was spelling the cereal casting wrong. No they are not putting oatmeal or Lucky Charms on her legs.
They are putting the casts on right now, first they put a gauze padding on her legs, then some socks, and more padding on her ankles for more padding. Then they put the actual casts on. It gets hard like a regular cast but they don't need a cast saw to get it off. It just unravels like an ace bandage. It's pretty cool how it works.
I will post some pictures when they are finished.
