Good Morning!!

Kairi FINALLY slept good all night!!!! She had only been sleeping for like 2 hours then wake up for a hour and go back to sleep for a little bit. She is smiling a TON too. It is so good to see her smiling and giving us her little giggle.
Yesterday she got her NJ taken out and a NG put in. So now the food is going directly into her stomach instead of her intestines. They started her on just 10 cc's an hour and now she is up to 50 cc's an hour.
Possibly on Monday she will have a G tube put in. What is a G tube you ask?? It is where the doctors put a Gastrostomy tube into Kairi's stomach. It will be used to give her the nutrients and calories she will need. It is not a forever thing. And it will be a lot nicer to not have a tube coming out of her nose so she can pull it out.
Also the Neurosurgeons are talking about putting Kairi's bone flap back in.......next week sometime.
The PT was really pleased with Kairi yesterday and thinks she can start going to 2 a day therapies. YAY!! One more step to be able to stay for Rehab.
Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support!! Heavenly Father loves us so much!! I am so thankful for the gospel and the blessings we have received throughout the years. Many of you know that Pace and I had been trying for 3 years to get pregnant. The doctors have told me their was nothing wrong. I took clomid for a few months and nothing. I even went to an energy healer and he said he couldn't see why I can't get pregnant. Well as soon as we got to the hospital and the nurses were asking if we had any other kids, I realized we are so blessed to not have any other kids right now. Because of it we can give Kairi 100% of our time and devotion. Also in May we had to move into Pace's parents house. At first we had a very hard time with it because we didn't know why we were kicked out of the house we were living in, but now we know why. All of these trials are actually huge blessings.
We love you all!!
Love,
Liz,

YAY!!! That is so exciting that she is sleeping better and smiling more. I can't believe how much she is progressing. She is such a little trooper! You are so right Liz. You guys are truly blessed. It's nice to know that the Lord is looking out for us, isn't it? Although we may not be happy with our current situations they are usually for a good reason. Heavenly Father loves You! And so do we! Keep up the good work!

YAY! Im so so happy to hear that she is doing better! It is so funny because I also have been talking to Brandon and have told him that I think this is the reason why you guys havent been able to get pregnant and why you have been out of a home and living with your in-laws! It is so funny how trials can turn into such blessings! Just like my divorce that I never thought would end! It was so great to see you last night and to see the improvements Kairi has made. The biggest thing I noticed was the recognition you could see in her eyes! It's wonderful to witness measurable progress.
We love you Aunt Mary & Uncle Bob

Yay! I've had many times in my life where I have seen God's wisdom in retrospect as well.

Interesting how God knows what He's doing isn't it?

Thanks for sharing Liz. We all have trials. You are young. This is just one of many you will endure.

Faith will pull you through.

I was so warm in my heart to see the progress just from last saturday when we were there, it is so good to start seeing her personality showing through. And remember... Its not how hard the trials are you are given, its how much you grow from them. Keep up all the good work I enjoy everything you share with us.

Just goes to show you that everything does happen for a reason, and that God does have a plan for every single one of us. I am so glad to here about all of Kairi's progress. When you posted about being able to go to photobucket and see all of the pics it is amazing to look at all fo them and see how far she has come. You are all still in our thoughts and prayers.
