Kairi's Day

This is a clip of Kairi in Rehhab. They are helping her sit up so she can re learn the muscles that help her do that. She also played with a couple of music toys to help prompt her to use her arms purposely.

Rehab Session

This is of me doing patty cakes with her. She gave a little giggle not her true giggle but a good attempt at one.She smiled good for a couple of minutes.and I'm sorry you have to see my ugly mug with her.

While i was fighting with these to get them to load Music Therapy came in and she got her to smile a ton and she got a few giggles out of her. Music is an amazing thing. Lily (Music Therapist) said that she would smile and giggle in anticipation which is great! it means she is thinking ahead. We were singing Little Bunny Foo Foo and 5 Monkey's swinging in the tree. She would giggle waiting for the alligator to snap. She has been re-casted and had molding done for splints. They should be here by the end of next week. She got a wheel chair and we got to take her outside. I think she liked the sun hitting her, she relaxed a lot. We are doing great being able to move her around and sit her up and cuddle with her is great!

Someone asked what she was doing in terms of speech and timeline. She doesn't speak her giggles are a lot like a sigh just one quiet sound with some joy behind it. Timeline they don't give any. Every child is different and reacts differently. As she has therapy a few more days we should be able to get a better judgement on where she is at and then they might be able to give us a ballpark figure.
