They have totally taken her off her sedation. Its been like 3-4 hours since. I walked in there and said WOW! they're gone. i didnt realize it had been that long since I was in there. We got quite a few visitors today so I was talking and enjoying being worry free for a while. I didnt realize how fast the time went by. While I was just down there her eyelids were fluttering. I know the next day or so is going to be very hard while she wakes up. She is probably going to keep her EVD (catheter) in her head for a week or so. She has some fluids leaking from one of the cracks in her skull. Once it heals up and she starts leaking they are going to remove the EVD. Hopefully she will be able to make it through her spontaneous trials tomorrow and be able to come off the Vent. We love you so much and thank you for everything you are doing. Thanks

Having moments of "doubt" and fear is natural when you see your little girl lying there. But your faith and love for her ... and for the Lord ... is keeping you strong ... and keeping you focused on her healing. In the end, God will always lift you up ... and help you lift Kairi up! :) You are amazing!!! Pace, your advice to "go out and burn" ... I hope every single person that reads this blog does JUST that!!! ... and does it in the name and spirit of Kairi Elizabeth Abbott!!!!! What a legacy THAT will be ... as she struggles to get better (AND SHE WILL!!!!! :)
Love to each and every one of you ... especially that little angel trying to get better ... but also to all of you who are surrounding her, blessing her ... and giving her the love and strength to heal!!! Make sure to give my love especially to Laren and Elaine.
