Pink Helmet

They got the PICC line in and it was too far. So when they got her up to the room they pulled it out and put a shorter one in. at 4:00 they are going to do another chest X-Ray and see if it is where it needed to be. She was really awake more than she had been for a couple days and moving her arms (Right one more than usual. And her left leg more. so I think getting the fluid off of her brain helped a lot. She is out right now. Sleeping really really deep. At around 6pm Opthamology is going to come in and check her eyes again. She got her helmet today! It is very cute. I took pictures of it but they camera and computer aren't cooperating. So I will get them on later. She is going in for a CT scan in the morning to see if they can pull the drain out. Hopefully they can. We Love you all. Thanks for keeping our spirits lifted.

Love,
Pace & Liz

Pace thanks for the up to the minute news today, wish we could be there, not sure what Aunt Mary and I are going to do for dinner here in So Cal. Liz think it would be strange if we went and hung out at the Mission Viejo hospital cafeteria and had dinner.
Hey we love and miss you lots,

Hi
I asked my cousins permission to tell you a short version of her story with her son in hopes of giving your family more hope. Her son was shot in the head with a Bee-Bee Gun and the bullet was lodged in his brain, I believe still is today. I sent her your blog poage to ask her to pray for you daugter and she is amazed how the recovery process is almost Identical to her sons right down to the Converse Tennis shoes. Alric (her son) is now a High school graduate and Joining the Air Force. She said when she broght him home from the hospital he had zero muscle control or anything, in fact she had to use a velcro strap so he would not slide out of his wheel chair. He is one awesome "Man" now! He is one of the brightest kids I know! If you were to meet him now u would have never guessed the troubled roads he endured for recovery! Anyways I follow ur story from Okinawa Japan every day and just wanted to offer some more words of hope/prayer/encouragement etc for your beutiful daughter!

Liz and Pace, please write more. Many of us are checking the blog several times a day and are miles away... states and countries away. This is the only way to find out what is going on. The only thing we can do is offer prayers but we need to know her daily condition. Please continue to keep us posted, in detail as much as you can. Also since many of us do not work at hospitals, remember that when you are using the terms you are now so familiar with they are foreign us (and the abbreviations) therefore sometimes I know I am not sure what you are referring to with her procedures.

I have your sweet little girl on my mind all the time and watch for updates on the blog. When there is one I am so excited. I pray for her and her successful recovery.

A friend...
