The CT scan is done. They are talking about maybe having to put a Shunt into her head. A shunt is where they put a drain from her ventricles (the middle of her brain) down in to her perintoneal space (the area where your stomach and intestines are) this will allow her body to absorb the CSF naturally like her body normally would. Normally the brain and spinal cord re absorb it but it can also be done else where. She was really really swollen. If she still has problems through the weekend with absorbing her CSF then she will have to have it put in. If not. They will hopefully pull the drain. Not sure on where its going yet. We've been kind of expecting a setback and here it is. She pulled her right arm over to her left and she held her hands together. She is starting to gain more movement on her right side which is great! She is making progress even with her setbacks. Thank you all for your concern and Prayers. We never realized how much we were loved. Thanks everyone who has visited its nice to see familiar faces in our new home.
Love,
Pace & Liz

You guys are going to know all the medical lingo! I'm really impressed with your knowledge and thanks for explaining everything to those of us who are clueless. Best wishes and I hope the progress continues.
Hey! Sounds like she has the best watching over her! Glad that they can fix what needs fixin' :) That is great about the movement, amazing what the body can do. She is such a strong girl! Hang in there, this to shall pass. Sometimes gotta have a little bad day to get back to a good day :) We are still praying for Kairi, and keeping her in our thoughts!
