So today was a pretty good day. The OT got to help her sit up. There would be no way her body could do it by itself right now. She is like an infant to me. She can't hold her head up. She Can't open her eye all the way. She doesn't really know how to do anything. Her left arm that moves all the time is about her only movement. We don't know if she is trying to get something or not. Basically her brain doesn't know her body is there. The therapy Occupational (OT) and Physical (PT) are what is going to take care of that. She has had a couple sessions of PT and one of OT. She cannot talk yet. She Yawns, Gags, and coughs. I'm not even sure she could vocalize a cry right now. She is basically in a lesser state than a newborn. Which is fine. She will regain her movement speech and all those things. We just have to re teach her everything. She is awake a lot. She makes little steps everyday to getting better. She was measured for a helmet today. Hopefully we will get tomorrow. If she gets that then she can go to the Rehab Gym. And get to ride in a wheel chair there. Pretty much as of right now we are working on getting her medically stable. Her sodium is still a little unstable. And her platelets are high. As soon as they get those two things taken care of I think she will be in good shape for more Rehab. I will post more info tomorrow morning. Thank you all for your support. We are blown away by the fundraiser today that was an amazing feat by all of you who participated. We feel so blessed and loved. Thank You Hair Stylists! Please give each and every one of them a hug and kiss from Kairi for us. And thank you everyone who participated and let them have sharp objects near your head! We feel so blessed and are staying as faithful and strong as we can be. You really do lift us up.
Love,
Pace & Liz

Liz this is kristi (roommate that saved you from the stinky twin number one). I just want to let you know you are in our prayers and if you need anything let me know
Sounds like a fantastic Day! She looks so cute sitting there! Glad to see she is movin' on up. Hang in there, what a HUGE blessing to have such a sweet spirit!
I had not been back in awhile. I don't know if I left a comment before. I found your page through lots of other pages. Thank you for your testimony before. I'm sure the person who questioned your faith had good intentions but was mislead. Most people who speak ill of our church have only listened to their preacher or minister (who have listened to some other preacher or minister)and have forgotten to look to the Source as God would want them to do. I too know God lives and loves each of his children, even those who have not learned of the Savior, he will listen to ANY and ALL prayers. The Gospel of Christ rolls forth.
God bless Kairi and I think of her everyday. I try to appreciate every moment with my kids because I know things can change very quickly. Your page and others has taught me to be a better mom.
