Bye Bye PICU

Kairi has been moved out of the PICU. She is sleeping very well right now. Its nice to be able to have a couch in her room. Its a hospital couch but its a couch. I'm watching enchanted while typing since I can't find the olympics. The move went well the room is small but somehow more peaceful. Kairi has been awake more and moving more today than yesterday. We are still waiting for Neurosurgery to come and take her stitches out. I don't expect to get her to make any milestones for a couple of days. I did order a camcorder today so hopefully I will get it by the time she starts making milestones like walking talking and all that. But no matter what as soon as I get it she will be video'd and on the web. For all of you to see. Thank you so much for watching and waiting for me to post. Things are slowing down here but i am still trying to find things to write. I thank you for your prayers and comments they really help.

Love,
Pace & Liz

She is in Room 2025 in the NTU Neuro Trauma Unit. (Second Floor if you plan on visiting)

So blessed are we to see such miracles happen before our eyes. Kairi is a special little girl, she has touched many hearts with her strength and will to heal, and the faith and stength that you all have is amazing! It is so great to see so many pull together with such faith is nothing short of a blessing, I will continue to pray for her, please give her a kiss! I know you run out of things to say now that things are slowing down, but hang in there, just posting that things are ok is enough to keep those of us so far away a bit more calm, and to see her with her eyes open, WOW!that was fantastic!
Love you all very much,
Aunt Becky

It is obvious that you are both great and loving parents. Your little girl is an angel and just so darn cute (love the bows!). I continue to pray for her daily and check the blog about 5 times each day. I'd like to hear more from you, Liz, although I understand if you are too busy to write. Keep your spirits high.

Thanks so much for the pictures. I cried when I saw the picture of the beautiful little princess with her eye open. She is amazing.
It is so sweet of you to share your journey with all of us. You inspire so much strength and faith.
Grandma Elaine you are in my prayers too. My boys really love you.
Take care all.
Love,
Michelle

It is SO good to hear that she is progressing enough to be out of PICU.

I understand that you run out of things to say, but I still would like to know that she is doing better and getting stronger every day. Please keep the posting up. It helps us and gives us the strength to know that we don't have all the problems and trials. Most of the time, I am feeling sorry for myself, and then I read how well Kairi is doing and it gives me the stength to carry on. I try and keep my family posted about how she is doing too.

Keep the strength and courage to carry on.

Love ya all
